04 - Taste and modify sweetness as desired by adding more sugar or agave syrup.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It takes less time to make than a grocery store run and tastes infinitely better than anything in a can.
  • The mint and lime wake up your taste buds without any artificial aftertaste or guilt.
  • You can adjust the sweetness on the fly, which means everyone at the table gets exactly what they want.
02 -
  • Don't skip straining—loose mint leaves floating in your drink turn bitter and chewy fast.
  • Taste before serving because limes vary wildly in tartness, and you might need an extra squeeze or pinch of sugar.
03 -
  • Blend the mint just enough to break it down—over-blending makes it taste grassy instead of fresh.
  • Use agave syrup instead of sugar if you want it to mix in without any grit, especially if you're skipping the blender step.
