# What you need:

→ Pretzel Base

01 - 90 small pretzel twists, approximately 3 per shamrock
02 - 30 mini pretzel sticks for stems

→ Candy Coating

03 - 12 oz green candy melts
04 - 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening, optional for smoother coating

→ Decoration

05 - Green and white sprinkles or sanding sugar

# How to Make It:

01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Arrange three pretzel twists in a clover formation with their curves touching to create the leaf shape. Position one mini pretzel stick at the base to form the stem. Repeat this assembly 30 times.
03 - Melt the green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl following package directions. Stir in coconut oil or shortening if a smoother consistency is desired.
04 - Using a fork or spoon, carefully drizzle or spoon the melted candy coating over each shamrock, ensuring complete coverage and that all pretzel pieces are bonded together.
05 - While the candy coating remains wet, generously sprinkle green and white sprinkles or sanding sugar over each shamrock bite.
06 - Allow the pretzel bites to set at room temperature for 20 minutes, or refrigerate for 10 minutes until the coating hardens completely.
07 - Gently lift the shamrock bites from the parchment paper and arrange on a serving platter.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • No baking required means you can throw these together while wearing whatever you wore to bed.
  • They look homemade and impressive even though the hardest part is arranging pretzels in a clover shape.
02 -
  • If your candy melts seize up or get lumpy, don't panic—add just a tiny bit more coconut oil and stir gently until it smooths out again.
  • The pretzel stick really does hold everything together, so don't skip it or your shamrocks will fall apart the second someone picks them up.
03 -
  • If you're making these for a crowd, melt all your candy in a shallow bowl rather than a deep one—it makes dipping and coating infinitely easier without splashing.
  • The parchment paper is non-negotiable because the candy coating sticks to everything else and peeling these off wax paper is a nightmare I won't wish on anyone.
