# What you need:

→ Sage Syrup

01 - 1/2 cup water
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 6 fresh sage leaves

04 - 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 2 lemons)
05 - 1/4 cup fresh orange juice (approximately 1 orange)
06 - 1/2 cup cooled sage syrup
07 - 2 cups chilled sparkling water
08 - Ice cubes

→ Garnish

09 - 4 fresh sage leaves
10 - Lemon or orange slices (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine water, granulated sugar, and sage leaves in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain syrup through a fine mesh strainer and cool to room temperature.
02 - In a pitcher, blend together fresh lemon juice, fresh orange juice, and cooled sage syrup. Stir until well incorporated.
03 - Add ice cubes to four serving glasses. Pour the citrus-sage mixture evenly into each glass.
04 - Top the contents of each glass with chilled sparkling water and gently stir to combine.
05 - Finish each drink with a fresh sage leaf and an optional lemon or orange slice. Serve immediately.
